Blog #1

1) My workplace is called Winton Middle School. It teaches students and gives students preporation for High School.
2) It is a pretty big middle school. There are alot of students that attend here.
3)My work place is located on 119 West Winton avenue Hayward, CA 94544-1210. It is a school Campus.
4)There is 70 people working here including subs
5) The sort of people my work place employes are teachers and all the rest of staff members.
6) I believe they all have a 4 year college degree because they are all teachers.
7)My work place serves students(7-8 graders)
8)The stregths of my work place are how students come in the library to finish project or homework thats do later on the day.
9) The weakness of my work place is that not all students come to the library and do work.

1)My mentors name is Mrs. Mccrary. She is the librarian at Winton middle School and her job is to interfere with the students with there books, make sure students dont turn in books late, charges students if they loose any book.
2)Her typical day is helping students that ask for help and take books to students who missed placed them and fix and design bulletin boards around the school.

1)My main responsibility in my internship is to help students that need help.
2)Another task i complete each week is deliver books to students.
3)My regular day at my internship is help Mrs.McCrary with anything she needs and help class rooms when they come into the library. For Example when i first arrived there we had a class come into the library and i was helping students with there short stories that was assigned for them.

1)The thing i am thinking to do for my WLE project is to form an after school program that will help students with there homework.
2)I came up with this idea because every time I'm at my internship i see students go in to type there essay's that's going to be due next period.
3)I'm excited to do this project because when the program starts Its going to help the students to get use to doing there homework.
4)The materials and technology  that we would need are computers so students can do there essays or other assignment, pencil for students that are not prepared, and the library for use to use to work.

1) Today when I arrived to my Work Place i started off by helping students with anything they needed, took students to class rooms, and cleaned tables.
2) Me and my mentor talked about when and how we are gonna set up an after school session and what we need to support students.
3)I have accomplished when we are going to start the program and gather technology for students(computer, calculaters, pencils, ect...

1)The leadership skill that i use the most when i arrive to my WLE is Collaborating Productively because we participate, I lead, and I reflect.
2)I use this leadership skill all the time because I work with students. I need to improve on
